About this house of 14 rooms in Fubine (15043)
Villa ‘La Sabbionina’
We are in Fubine Monferrato (Alessandria area – Piedmont), a tiny historical village from 1800 on Monferrato hills, with its vineyards, its family farms and countryside historical family residences, ideal for e-bike tours between wine, food, and nature.
Villa La Sabbionina is a country family home built in 1900, at a heart of 15 acres of land.
We stop our car at the property gate, we find two separate buildings, completely renovated by the actual owners.
We quickly go through the service building, where we find three large garages for cars parking, a space originally used as a barn to store animal food and various equipment storages and two horse boxes fully renovated and ready to host their next guests.
We then start our tour of the main building which has two floors: upon entering the ground floor we find an area dedicated to the housekeeper, we then walk through two separate living rooms with fireplaces, a modern kitchen, and a large and bright dining room. We move to two bedrooms with relevant bathrooms and laundry.
We climb the stairs taking to the first floor, where we find three large double bedrooms and the master bedroom with an adjacent majestic dressing room, two bathrooms with jacuzzi and an ad-hoc space for a sauna.
We eventually arrive to the relax area, a very large room with bar corner and pool table, from there we enter a hammam style furnished winter garden.
Whilst enjoying a glass of wine, from its window-walls you have a stunning view on the surrounding blooming nature framed on top by the Alps and the majestic Monviso mountain.
It’s summer now, we can only imagine what an amazing landscape might it be when covered with snow.
We get out in the garden, our mind still charmed by the view of the Alps, and we are invited to shortly visit the basement where we are totally astonished: we suddenly jump a hundred years back in time, the actual owners renovated the house and decided to leave the cellar 'as is' for the next ones to further explore its secrets. Such storage rooms were typical in this part of Northern Italy (Piemonte) between the 19th and 20th century: farmers used to build them manually and without any major construction project under their homes. They had no natural air nor daylights and were specifically used for wine and family supplies storage. They were called 'INFERNOT': they carried and still carry with them charm and wisdom of ancient times and have been listed among UNESCO world heritage sites.
The last part of this thrilling tour consists of scouting of the property outside: we find a gorgeous and very well-maintained nature ideal for horse riding, a flat part for helicopter landing, space for adding a pool and a beautiful garden with a charming patio where you can enjoy chill-out time with family and friends in summer evenings, a must after a long walk in such a wonderful nature.
Considering its location and its characteristics, this property is ideal both as a single-family vacation home or as investment for small countryside hospitality, convention resort etc: it’s located at around 100 km from Milan, Turin and Genoa cities and airports, in the heart of a traditional winery area which can be easily explored through various wine and food itinerary. Furthermore, Fubine it is at less than 5 km from the internationally well known two 18 holes courses of Margara Golf & Country Club and 45 minutes driving from Serravalle Designer Outlet, the biggest outlet village in Europe.
